Safari Types in Bandhavgarh National Park

The best way to explore the wilderness and exotic wildlife of Bandhavgarh National Park is through jungle safaris. There are two main types of safaris available:

  1. Jeep Safari:

    • This is the main adventure of Bandhavgarh, where an open jeep, accompanied by a guide, takes you into the wilderness. Only six people are allowed per jeep, and you can book the entire jeep for yourself. It’s a thrilling experience that offers the best chance of spotting famous tigers like Marchaini, Sukhipatia, and others. The jeep safari is perfect for exploring the park’s diverse flora and fauna, scenic landscapes, and mixed dry-deciduous forests.
  2. Elephant Safari:

    • Also known as an Elephant Joy Ride, this safari is only permitted in the Tala Zone. It allows you to explore deeper into the forest and hidden pathways not accessible by jeep. Elephant safaris are infrequently offered to tourists and often require a written application for permission from the field director.
